Midsummer Moot

Come join us at our Midsummer Moot a casual get together meant to be simple and fun and bring together our members and people who are interested and want to learn more about the Shire and the SCA.  

The moot is free and garb in not required all you need to do is come and have fun

Location- Mary Hall Park in Rapid City 

Date-July 28th 2024

Planned Activities are…

11:00- Site Opens

12:00-1:00- Lunch bring your own or support the shire and buy the fundraising lunch for 8 dollars.  The lunch will be burgers, watermelon, choice of chips, water or lemonade and dessert.

1:00-3:00 Ring Toss and Bocce Ball Tournaments

2:00-4:00 Armored/Rapier Combat practice/demo

4:00-5:00 Updates and Q&A with Shire Officers.

There will also be toy axe throwing available through the day and the ring toss and bocce ball will be available for fun after the tournament.  

Parking   

Parking is limited in the park itself, so those will be reserved for those with disabilities or members hauling large items.  There will be plenty of parking in the South Dakota government offices, located right next to the park entrance.
